Easy colouring of three different patterned king cakes.
Educational colouring page dedicated to the tradition of the Galette des Rois, celebrated mainly in France and certain French-speaking countries. The page features three different galettes, each topped with a crown. The designs of the galettes vary, providing a range of textures and shapes to colour in, which is ideal for developing fine motor skills in children.
At the top of the page, there is a space to personalise with a child's name or a short message. This can be particularly useful in a classroom setting, if the page is used in a group context, where each child receives a galette to colour.
The crowns on the galettes are stylised and simple, making it an excellent exercise for children learning to recognise and reproduce different patterns and shapes. Furthermore, this activity can serve as an introduction to the celebration of Epiphany, during which it is customary to share a galette and 'pull the kings' – with a fève hidden in one of the slices, and the person who finds it becomes king or queen for the day.
